AMC has canceled "The Killing."?
?After much deliberation, we've come to the difficult decision not to renew 'The Killing' for a third season," said AMC in a statement Friday. "AMC is incredibly proud of the show and is fortunate to have worked with such a talented team on this project, from showrunner Veena Sud and our terrific partners at Fox Television Studios to the talented, dedicated crew and exceptional cast.?
"Fox Television Studios is extremely proud of 'The Killing,' the extraordinary writing staff and crew, and what we believe is one of the best casts on television. We will proceed to try to find another home for the show," said Fox TV Studios in a statement.

The news comes after the ambitious drama solved the Rosie Larsen murdery mystery after a two-season journey, something executive producer Sud has indicated was always the intent.
Led by Emmy nominee Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman, "The Killing" saw a drop in ratings from season one to season two. Viewers and critics voiced their unhappiness at the end of its rookie year when the series' looming question, "Who killed Rosie Larsen?," went unanswered.
The second season finale was particularly telling of the future as the final moments of the episode saw Seattle homicide detective Sarah Linden (Enos) walking away from the job while partner Stephen Holder (Kinnaman) went off to the next case.
Based on the Danish series?"Forbrydelsen" ("The Crime"), "The Killing" followed Linden (Enos) and Holder (Kinnaman) as they investigated the murder of teenager Rosie Larsen and all those connected to it. Each episode of the series covered the span of roughly one day.
