Movie chain to open in old Metro Theater announces food and drink ...

Columbia?s soon-to-be closest movie theater, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, has just released the menu for its unconventional restaurant-cinema.

But more than buttery popcorn and blue-flavored ICEEs ? customers will be able to select highlights including $4 bottomless sodas, alcoholic or virgin milkshakes, fried pickles, cocktails, and baked-to-order hot cookies.?The chain also likes to customize their meals based on the movie showing, meaning they probably didn?t have to make too many accommodations for ?Super Size Me.?

Last year, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a Texas-based movie theater chain, announced its plans to take over the old Metro Theater on Broadway between 99th and 100th Streets. A Community Board 7 committee approved the owners? request for a liquor license in October 2012.?The Cinema is expected to open sometime in 2014.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema?s other locations are known for the unique movie-goer experience. Customers can get food delivered to their seats ? before and during the movie ? but talking and texting are strictly forbidden. (Ideal date or what?)

More importantly, go ahead and take a look at their culinary and drink-linary offerings, or see the menu below the jump:
