The family also thanked staff at Alder Hey Hospital and Claire House Children?s Hospice, on Merseyside, where Rosie received treatment.
Coleen ? wife of Manchester United and England star Wayne, 27 ? was a teenager when her parents Tony and Colette McLoughlin adopted Rosie as a two-year-old.
Brave ... Rosie was described as 'an inspiration'
Coleen has spoken often about her love for her little sister, once saying: ?Rosie and I are very close. I try and see her most days.?
She insisted on Rosie attending her lavish wedding to Wayne in Italy in 2008. The couple told guests that instead of gifts they wanted donations given to the hospital and hospice.
Coleen visited Rosie in hospital at Christmas with son Kai and brother Anthony, 22. He tweeted a snap of him and Kai with Rosie and wrote: ?Princess Rosie chilling on Christmas Day.?

A cruel disorder
By CAROL COOPER, Sun Doctor
RETT Syndrome is a severe disorder that affects the brain and causes disabilities.
The condition is rare and almost always affects girls, not boys.
It usually shows by the first birthday, when the baby starts losing the skills she has learned. Sadly there is no cure yet, but there is a lot of research into the faulty gene.
Most sufferers are totally dependent on others. Coleen and her family did not shy away from this heavy burden.
Instead, they did everything they could to give Rosie a happy life. They have been wonderful role models for any family.
